Oscar de la Renta Emerald Filigree Pendant Necklace — Maltese Cross, Late 1980s–Early 1990s

Sale price$895.00

A dramatic pendant necklace by Oscar de la Renta composed of three articulated elements suspended on a long gold-tone chain.

At the top sits a Maltese cross set densely with turquoise cabochons and pale green marquise crystals. Below it hangs an open filigree cross centered on a large emerald-tone rivoli crystal, surrounded by light-green navette stones. The final drop terminates in a filigree heart form set with two turquoise cabochons and a pear-cut emerald crystal.

Each section is distinct in structure and stone vocabulary, yet the three elements move together as a single sculptural composition. The articulated construction allows the pendants to shift subtly with the wearer rather than hanging rigidly in place.

The open wirework filigree used in the middle and lower sections reflects the ornamental language that appeared frequently in Oscar de la Renta’s jewelry during the late 1980s and early 1990s, drawing on the devotional scale and ecclesiastical motifs that run throughout his work.

New in box, unworn.

The necklace carries the Oscar de la Renta script signature tag at the clasp, the standard mark for late-1980s to early-1990s production.

New in box, unworn. The Oscar de la Renta signature appears on a rectangular script tag at the clasp — the standard mark for late 1980s–early 1990s production.
