Christian Dior Rope Knot Clip Earrings, 1980s

A sculptural rope knot rendered in warm gold-tone metal, each earring formed from braided strands that fold back into a dense circular knot. A channel of clear rhinestones runs through the center of the form, catching light from within the construction rather than sitting on top of it.

The twisted rope texture creates subtle shifts in reflection as the surface turns. It gives the piece a depth that reads closer to fine jewelry than to standard fashion accessories.

This pair is New Old Stock, with no signs of wear and a bright original finish throughout. Vintage Dior earrings of this era typically show clip wear or plating loss at contact points. These show neither.
